My husband & I had a miscarriage in nov of 2011. I've only had one period since. I've never had normal periods & we no longer use protection (condoms or birth control) My husband usually "pulls out" & one time when we weren't sure we decided to get the plan b pill. Only a week later & 2 weeks early since my last period I had a severe cramp & didn't know what it was on my left pelvic area. That was last night. Today I started bleeding. Usually in the beginning of my periods the blood is a little discolored. Today it was red. I have had unusual cramping all day. I looked up side effects from the miscarriage & plan b & read about ectopic pregnancies. I got a little scared & am curious if this could be one. I'm going to get a pregnancy test in the morning & go to the doctor if the cramping occurs. I had huge deadlines this week so I am under a lot of stress. I am 31 105 lbs with no children. & I do not smoke. Advice?

See what the pregnancy test shows, but it is not uncommon to have irregular bleeding/cramping after using an emergency contraceptive due to the higher hormone levels, so it may be from that. It can also throw off your cycle at first.

Certainly if the pain continues, or becomes more severe, see your doctor.
