I want to remove my no -working ceiling fan that has a 4-light lite kit. I want to use the wiring that is in the downrod to just put up a regular ceiling light (no fan). Can I do this with the existing wires that come from the existing downrod? Don't want a fan in this area, just a nice regular light. Appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks.

Does this unit have a wall controlled light, e.g.a wall switch or a dimmer?

Are you going to remove the fan assembly? If you do,use the fan power lead for the new light. Were there 2 switchres-fan and light?
