I have a Kohler kitche faucet that is 12 years old. The issue is the hand hels sprayer nozzle you you pull out from the counter top. When we go to use it it just piddles out a little bit of water. I have taken the hand held part of and cleaned it with CLR. That didn't help. Will I need to replace Everything?

Hi Don...

You removed and cleaned the "hand held part", but did you remove the AERATOR at the tip of the spout? If not remove the aerator and clean it.

How about this, when you removed the hand held spout from the hose did you run water to see how the pressure looked? If not, that is where you want to start... remove the hand held spray and run water through the hose. If water flows well then you have a clogged screen or aerator at the hand help spray, OK?

Worst case if it can't be cleared is that you can just replace it with a universal head or order an exact match from kohler.

Let me know what happens, OK?

Mark

PS DO NOT let the hose drop when you remove the head as it can fall back into the faucet body and cause all kinds of issues for you... have a friend hold it or clamp it down somehow, OK?

I guess I'm reading this problem differently Mark. I'm reading that this as a kitchen faucet with a side spray. Therefore, I would suspect a clogged or defective diverter valve.

Don, please clarify.

My toilet is leaking at the base

Does that mean that water comes out between the toilet base and the floor when you flush? Or does it mean that water is constantly leaking from the base?

When you remove the toilet to replace the wax ring, was the old wax ring flattened and compressed?

It is only when you flush and there is very little water in the bowl the toilet also flushes not like its clogged it also only comes out as it is trying to refill the bowl

If this is what you are saying?

1. The leak only occurs when you flush.
2. There is very little water in the bowl after a flush.
3. The toilet does not flush like it is clogged.
4. It only leaks while the tank is refilling.

If that is what you are saying, remove the tank top and make sure that the refill tube (that little black tube that goes from the fill valve to the overflow pipe) is in place. It should be attached to the overflow pipe and the water from it should go down the inside of the overflow pipe.

Several things could cause this. Does the bowl rock when you set on it?
It could be that the ballcock's spraying and running down the outside of then tank. Take the lid off and check, Good luck, Tom

Check the bolts that hold the tank to the toilet and also check the tightness of the cold water connection to the tank. When you moved the toilet to install the new gasket, everything could have loosened up, It happens.
