Hi,

I own a 5 year old business that has a clean record, no debts or loans or anything. I received a check from Centerboard Funding. It's no fake check like the ones they send you in the mail sometimes, I already checked it from all possible angles and it's real. The amount is $50,000. I could really use the money for investing it on different things in my business and I mean actual investment, not to pay bills and such.

I'm a little afraid as to who they are and what they do, I wasn't able to find much information online other than their website and I read a bit about how it will work from there. I would love to hear from people who have experience with them or know how these types of companies work and what risks I'd be taking here.

This is their site http://centerboardfunding.com/merchant-cash-advance/

Please let me know if they're fake or not and help me understand them. I appreciate your help and your input

I'm not going to look. Cash advances sent unsolicited in the mail are always obscenely high interest rates.

That site screams SCAM.
Just look at the copyright date of 2012!!

I wouldn't be surprised if their CEO is one Rumple Stiltskin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rumplestiltskin)..

And here is how and why Centerboard picked you out as someone who might need money and might have to pay a very high interest rate - plus fees and handling: https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/small-claims/continuing-case-against-main-street-acquisition-corp-622367.html

These companies go through Court records and pick out names.
