Hello,

My friend resently inherited an oil painting. Its about 2 meters by 3.5 - 4 meters. But we can't find the artists name or know anything about it :S.

It says 1873 and the name looks like Stiorrong ot Spiorrong (sfiorrong also had people say could be).

Extra info:

A story heard by him was that the picture was a commission from a noble to the artist above to paint a copy of a 16th century painting in the kings house in sweden (where we are from). However I can't find much info on painting from the house and know no one that has been there that can remember it at least. Don't know how much truth is in that story though :).
