Judy owns 4 houses subdivided into apartments. John managed for her. I rented from john on craigslist 6 months ago. John fled with 30 peoples rent. Judy claims she did not know I was living here. I have 4 of my 6 recipts, signed by john. One of which is from 2/25/12, paying for march. Judy claims for me to stay here, she wants twice what I was paying john. No lease to be found as john took his laptop with him. She wants to meet with me and detectives (assuming about john's grand scheme) today. I have tons of questions but my most important one is how long does it take her to get me out of here if I don't pay her another penny? I will need to save the money that was budgeted for rent to pay deposit and fees for new place.

Actually this is a very common Craigslist scam. A person finds empty houses and breaks in and/or changes locks and rents them to people. Did you actually meet "John" since often it is done by email. But sometimes they do it in person.

But different courts treat it differently, in some places you will be evicted with notice, in others you are tresspassing, there illegally and they will just throw you out on the spot.
Remember if she does not know "JOHN" then your receipts could be faked and the such.

So get and be prepared to move either at once, or within 30 days at the longest.

I don't understand this part:

... No lease to be found as john took his laptop with him. ...

You had a lease on John's laptop? Or John did?

First, ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area. Second, do you have any proof that John managed the property for Judy? Third, why didn't you get a copy of the lease?
