Trying to eliminate a lot of 90's in my water line to increase flow. Will 90 sweeps help with flow?

Are we talking water supply or drainage? If water supply are you attempting to add more pressure. How old is your house and what material are the pipes? Pump or city water? If not please explain the reason for the question. Regards, Tom

Have pump on a cistern & yes, attempting to add more pressure as we reroute lines. Poor initial installation. Can see at least 4 elbows that can be eliminated. As water is being pumped through 1" line, will it help to replace elbows with sweeps? It makes sense that it would, but maybe only to me since I don't really know what I'm doing. This is tropical environment so pipe outside & easily accessible. Thanks!

Hi Rockfix
Installation of long sweep elbows to the water line may reduce TURBULENCE, but that's about it!
Unfortunately, a few extra elbows (or a few less) in a water line of typical size/length will NOT change the pressure or volume in any really appreciable manner.
More questions just let us know, OK?
