We noticed today that the downstairs ceiling is showing signs of leaking about 3 feet long. At first we thought it was from the bathroom but when we really took a look the location of the leak is to the west of where our upstairs washer/dryer is located. Someone told us it could be from condensation, because we have had a lot of problems with our dryer but we don't know if there could be a pipe there that could be leaking. The floor upstairs is not wet. Does anyone have any suggestions? We do have a company coming out on Tuesday to clean out the lint and relace the piping for the dryer. We were planning on asking him also.

You can not judge where a leak originates from by where you can see it. Water will take the path of least resistance. You may have to open up the ceiling up and track it back to the source. Good luck. Tom

Look at the orignal plans of the house trace the water lines to see where they run than go from there
