I moved into my apartment end of last year. I felt extremely lucky to be able to live on my own. I noticed that my apartment manager had done nothing about having people parked in a illegal parking holes. My girlfriend sister came over on a few occasions and parked in front of my house. My girlfriend noticed that her sister truck was being towed away which we ran out and they asked us on the spot if we wanted the truck we had to pay a 217 fine to give back her truck that day. Then I ended up calling the manager and finding out why this was happening. When she said that she had police cars, fire trucks, and ambulance show up to our apartment because a child was choking. We never heard any of these people coming or going. The manager also told us that she got into the truck and started searching the truck. I asked her if she had the rights to do so and she said yes because she was the manager and it was private property. We have found that the manager has not ticket any other car besides one time when I have called to complain about her not doing her job. I have pictures of cars parked in no parking areas with out tickets, next to fire hydrants, shopping carts that was in the back of the complex, I have also have pictures of beer cans that is laying out in the middle of the grass without being picked up. I also have a guy that is quit often waking me up in the middle of the night from loud noises. It sounds like he was moving furniture in the middle of the night, I have also heard him slamming a woman around up stairs and I have missed school because of it. If I could get any advice that would be quit wonderful thank you all.

What do you want advice about? Was your sister illegally parked? If so, selective enforcement isn't going to get you anywhere.

Your other problems may be a pattern of harassment, but it is so nebulous I doubt if there is anything you can do about it.

So you live out your lease and move.

Look around the lot. Do you see a warning poisted about illegally parked cars will be towed, betting it's there somewhere. You might be getting into a wee wee match with a skunk. If you were to call the police it would be your word againist hers regarding searching the car. She might say she was trying to identify the owner to remove the truck without towing.

She can not search your car or truck, if you have proof of it, file a complaint with the police on it for "entering auto" or what ever the crime is called in your area..

They can pick which cars to enforce laws on, so if you friends or family come, don't have them park illegally.
