Do you ever have to replace valves under sinks? I was told replace only when you replace water fixture.

It is a rare thing to have to replace the shut-off valves under the sink, but they sometimes get bad. Usually, they corrode so they will not close or open; or the handle corrodes into pieces. Otherwise, they last a very long time.
