I got my cartilage peirced two weeks ago, and it was doing fine. I only clean it with the antiseptic rinse I got. It doesn't really hurt or anything, but today, I noticed a little bit of what looked like pus when I was cleaning it. I tried soaking a q-tip in the antiseptic and gently cleaning around it. A little piece of yellowish stuff came off, but it wasn't liquid. It looks clean now, and it's not swollen or anything.

I guess I'm just wondering if I can just keep it clean and hope the infection(if there is one) goes away..

What say you?

Honestly, it seems to be infected and you most likely have to remove the piercing so the infection will clear. Removal is necessary so more serious infections are avoided. You could be a person who is more prone to infections of that sort. Just be sure to continue to keep the infected area clean once the earring has been removed.

However, just because you have to remove it now, doesn't mean you can never have a cartilage piercing. Once the infection has completely cleared, you can go and have your cartilage re-pierced.
