View Full Version : What can I do for my baby's father not to change last name?

Baby's dad didn't sign BC not even his name is there, he wasn't here at the time my son born, he left me when I was 5 month pregnant, not helping with child support my non it's already 6 years 9 months, I'll be glad for some who can help me in this case doing my best for my son raising him since he born love him so much he's the son ever...

Who is the baby's bather ? Do you mean brother or father? >title edited to "father"<

Who is trying to do what? Can the bio father go to court and ask for a DNA test and ask for visitation yes he can. Do you have a court order for child support ? If not why not

My sons dad want to change last name, every other weekend & 2 day a week he see him. Im just want the best for my child and believe those changes will affect him

He's the boy's father isn't he? If he applies for visitation you try to restrict it.Every other weekend and 2'days a week seems too much for a virtual, stranger, who hasn't been around for 6 years. A few hours a week , supervised is more like it

The last name at birth was your decision, and a legal name change at this point would require that both of you consent to it. So, just like you couldn't change the last name now without him, he can't change it without you.
