I am a new home owner and have never dealt with a newer furnace. I woke up and the furnace was blowing out cold air. The LED inside of the furnace flashes four times which says 'Limit or Rollout Switch Open' I honestly have no idea what that means and I really do not have the money for a professional. Is there any simple solution for this?

Click here (https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/heating-air-conditioning/heating-cooling-maintenance-repair-troubleshooting-frequently-asked-questions-58313.html) for more information on main limits. I don't hacve a cicture of a rollout limit yet. But it is a small device located in several positions around the burner. It is about the size of a dime, has 2 wires and a small red button between the wires, gently push those buttons and see if on clicks. Roll outs are very important safety devices that keep the flames from burning outside the burner area.

I found one dime sized thing with two wires and a button, but when I pushed it the LED still flashed 4 times and I still had no heat. Are there more than one around the burner? I can only find one.

Follow the red wire from the one you found, there maybe more, all in series with each other. It could also be the main limit failed to close.

The limit is in series with the roll outs and many fan motor housings will have one hidden on the other side of the unit, flues can have them too, simply fillow the wires as they pass through the limit and safetys there will be a hi limit above the burner area and often part of a temperature delay for the low speed/heat speed. Its a combo unit with a dial on itys face like a clock but says temperature and the fan will come on around 150 and limit opens around 210
