I have a $50 dollar bil 1864 no 72104 I like to know is is real or not

Take it to a local antique dealer who knows old currency to be sure. We cannot tell based on your description alone.

Great call Rick, that serial number is a Confederate bill. A List Of Known Facsimile Confederate Notes (http://www.rebelstatescurrency.com/reproductions.html) Very likely real but the value would really depend on the condition. Like Rick said, take it to a dealer who can assess condition and value.I'd look for a dealer who does Confederate money rather than an antique dealer.

In general, Confederate currency is widely available, and worth less, in many cases, than the face value of it.
