Hi

I am having a L1 visa and brought my spouse and kid with L2 dependent visa. I came here in the month of May 2011 and brought my family in the month of August 2011. Both myself and my spouse is having SSN but I don't have either SSN or ITIN for my kid.
This year I have got my W2 form and I have prepared my Tax return using 1040EZ form considering that myself and my spouse is filing jointly. I am not able to consider my child since she doesn't have either SSN or ITIN. I am having my completed W7 application and the substantial documents. My Question is with this 1040EZ form, completed W7 application and the substantial documents can I be able to apply for ITIN. Because in the 1040EZ form there is nowhere I have mentioned about my kid. If I can apply, to which location I need to send these documents. Any help in this would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

You cannot claim a child using Form 1040ez.

You must use Form 1040 or 1040a.
