I have flem in my throat. Feels like I have to cough up mucus all day long. It comes with my pregnancy, 5th child to come. As long as I have something to eat on I'm fine. Coughdrops soothes me, but I have to take them constantly, all day long. Is it safe for my baby. If not what can I take or eat. As long as I have this flem in my throat I know I'm pregnant. I'm scared to get rid of it, because last year I was pregnant around this time but ended up having a miscarriage. I don't want to lose my baby.

There have been studies that support mothers having some chocolate now and then in pregnancy. It is believed to possibly help decrease the chance of developing pre-eclampsia... a condition that can become quite serious for mother and baby.
Enjoy the occasional treat. It won't hurt, and may help as long as you don't overdo it.

Depending on the kind of cough drop, you may be better off just having a hard piece of candy instead. What sort of cough drop are you using? You may also find having some hot tea with lemon helps to get rid of it.
How far along in your pregnancy are you? Some women do experience some congestion with pregnancy, so it may be from that. It naturally will come and go, while some women never have it.
