The song is "Every Time You Go Away" and was written by the great Cole Porter. It's been recorded scads of times; one of my favorite versions is by Annie Lennox on RED HOT & BLUE, a Cole Porter tribute CD that was also an AIDS benefit disc. (Other artiss on that disc include U2, David Byrne, Tom Waits, k.d. lang, and Aztec Camera.)
