I bought a car 8 months ago the deposit was made the balance was paid by the bank. Since then the dealshorship has gone into liquadation ,according to the receiver hasnding the case there is no records of who has paid ,the receivers has said that according to company record in the letter sent I owe a balnce of what the purchase price was.
Is there anthing I can do

Talk to your bank. If you got a loan from them and they paid the dealership, there will be a record of that payment.

Yes, you merely provide proof of payment, Copies of your sales record showing what you paid, copies of your checks where you paid.

Copies of the loan papers showing you got a loan from the bank, and the bank can provide proof that they paid.
