Where to turn for assistance? Situation is high school hockey teams boosters club initiated $1000.00 scholarships to ALL graduating seniors without any requirements, just ask and you receive. Several parents started to question this line item as well as trying to establish if this club is a legal 501 3C as there were mutiple fundraising done with program ads sold and parent individual donations that could conceivably put all of us in a bad situatioon. The two individuals running and operating this club backed down from saying yes we were to admitting we are not. At that time, it was asked for transparency of the books and bank statements, meetings and votes. As of this date, there have been none. In fact, the person holding the money in what we have found to be in a personal account has announced that she is personally dissolving the club and handing back funds. Where do we turn without involving legal action at this point as that could potentially be harmful to the schools.

Consider reporting this individual to the law enforcement authorities. Looks like possibly criminal fraud was going in.
