Did not humans have to band together at night for protection because they snored so loudly (especially without tonsils)?

I don't know the answer to this question, but my husband has a snoring problem, so was kicked out of the bedroom and now sleeps in another room. Go figure.

Who can say? Who was there to record the history of this? That long ago, remember, people kept their tonsils - no surgeons in those days - if you are talking prehistoric man.
If they all did band together, for protection, and snored - the snoring would not have deterred a predator - would have led the predator to the "food".

Heh, I think that if that was the case, evolution would have quickly wiped out the snoring population, and we wouldn't have it today, so I guess snoring doesn't get them killed that much.
