Last year I had a lot of work carried out in my flat. However over the last 3 months, the pressure in my boiler is continuously dropping and I am regularly having to refill it. I have had an engineer out who has fully serviced the boiler. The safety valve needed replacing and was the cause of some of the problem. However, the pressure is still dropping and the engineer has established there is no leek in the boiler itself. The leek must be coming from the pipes within the flat. However, the pipes are fully blocked in so I cannot check these. Not water has gone down to the flat below, so the leek must be quite small. I have been told that liquid solutions can be put in the system to repair small leeks which would be ideal for me. I was wondering if anybody has any further help or advice on this.
Thanks

HI Jearle
At this point, I would drain the boiler system, isolate it from the pipes (shut off shutoff valves) and then pump the empty system up with air to say 25 PSI to start... see if you lose pressure and see if you can hear it, right?
Next, depending on whether you have baseboard or cast iron radiators, I'd pump the system pressure even higher to say 50 PSI, see if you can see/hear anything now, etc...
Thast would be my next step... ;)
Boiler leak liquid is a last resort. Glad to discuss more, OK?

I am unable to get to any of the pipes myself as they are all hidden behind skirting board or the bathroom tiles which is why I was hoping liquid repair solution would solve the problem.
I will be getting somebody in who will hopefully resolve the problem, but your advice is very helpful in helping me decide how to best go about resolving this. Thanks
