Sorry, you did the crime, and now have to do the punishment, if it hurts your life, that is a price to pay. But it sounds like you need to go to the programs and meetings that is ordered, If you do not, you will be in jail.

The jail sentence usually matches the length of the probationary period. If you violate probation and it is revoked you are then sentenced to the remaining length of the probation. But if you received deferred adjudication and for instance served half of your probation and the probation is revoked, in most states the judge can:
1. restart the probation from the beginning and find you guilty of the crime
2. sentence you to the remaining term of the probation and find you guilty of the crime
3. sentence you to the entire probation period like you had not served a single day previous and find you guilty of the crime.
Once the judge agrees to probation and gets you setup with it, they don't want to change anything and could be pretty upset with you coming back to court to ask to be sent to jail instead. I wouldn't do that. Stick it out and stop drinking is the best advise I can give you.

That isn't correct you can be ordered probabtion longer then the time you spend in jail. So I looked it up and for a first time dwai offender it would be 5-180 days in jail. Hope this helps

The word "usually" was used. Nothing is 100%. Please post what you looked up, by the way, so we can all learn.
But, again, the statement is "usually," not "always."

You didn't read the entire site or the actual Law. You left out the part about plea bargaining and a CONVICTION.

Sorry but probation for you can be sent to jail for violation of that probation, for the entire time of the probation period.
