I'm 17 and I met this girl at a friend's party. Nothing happened but I felt there was real chemistry and my friends noticed we got on well. We're now Facebook friends but she never appears online to me to chat and I don't have her number. Almost certain there's something there but am becoming less and less convinced,this was 10 days ago now. She has an on/off boyfriend who's bi and lives with some guy at uni. I'm really desperate for something to happen but I feel like I'm doing nothing and I don't want this to peter out, what should I do? Am I deluded?

You take a breath and slow down. If there was real chemistry once it will be there again. Next time don't forget to get her number. First thing you have to do is find out if she currently has boyfriend. If she does, then you back off, respect her relationship, and move on. If she doesn't, then you can always finally ask her for her number and start having a friendship with her, to get to know her. Then if you still like her, you can try to move things forward.

Just wait for another chance meeting. Meanwhile, find out whether she is currently committed or not, and if so how deeply. If you are sure of this on-again off-again relationship there's a very good chance that you can turn lucky!

10 days is not that big a time, sometimes it takes months, and during these waiting-it-out periods have fun in your life, meet new people, go out with a few girls... I remember it took me 3 years to unite with a guy I liked after the first sparks of the initial meeting.

Don't fret about it. Once you guys meet again, the magic will work out on its own...

You are not deluded, just distracted, and attracted. A very intense combination. Keep living your life and enjoying it, and being open to other options and opportunities. Just as you have learned some, you will learn more about her. You only will be delude if you think of pursuing romance with some one that already has some one.

So don't be so desperate.
