I dropped a screwdriver down the toilet drain. Can't use a magnet because of steel pipes. Froze a couple small water bottles and stripped off the plastic and dropped them down the drain, hoping to move the screwdriver down the line. A PVC cleanout pipe outside lets me slide a hose with a magnet attached to the end,
Back up the line toward the house. I don't know if I have missed it or whether in days to come I may finally
Snag the screwdriver blade and retrieve it. Difficult to estimate how fast or slow the screwdriver may make it's way down the line because of the shallower slope once it gets outside the house. Solid matter will probably tend to move the screwdriver more than water flow. Good luck to you and to me. I'll let you know of any success.
