I have agreed to pay 200.00 a month... but did not sign the papers yet.. can I go bankrupt still... I can't afford 200.00 a month it will leave me homeless.. I think the bill was only about 1,500.00 and they want me to pay almost 4.000.00... please help me I don't know what to do:mad:

Hello ziggy:
Sure you can go bankrupt - if you can afford it.

Have you read through the threads here? There are procedures you can use that may get you out of this. You can file a motion to vacate the judgement, forcing them to show proof of the debt.
I would browse through the threads in this and the Bankruptcy and Debt forums where you'll find a lot of info to help.

I agree with scottgem File a motion to vacate the judgement and make them prove you owe the debt If you owe it and they can prove it , you might need to seek the advice of a bankruptcy attorney
