Somehow a frog has managed to "grow" in our toilet! How he got there originally, we don't know! He's in the rim - just under where you sit. He moves back and forth between the back of he toilet and the half way towards the front. He's about half the size of my teenage son's fist! Does anyone have any idea how to get him out without me spending tons of money or committing "froggyside"??
THANKS!

If you have another toilet in the house, 1st turn off the water supply to this one, and then flush the toile and remove all the water out of the tank. You can do this by flushing the toilet and hold the lever down. Then, use a towel and remove any excess water out of tank, then unscrew the two bolts that attach the tank to the bowl. Take the tank off and leave it off until the little guy comes out. After that I would put back together in reverse order. It really shouldn't be all that difficult. Good luck!

This frog is a HOME INVADER! He just didn't kick down your door to get in.
Doogie gave you a rather complicated task to rid yourself of this unwanted guest.
I have a much simpler solution. Since he got into your house by navigating the sewer system give him the opportunity to leave the same way.
FLUSH THAT LITTLE SUCKER DOWN! Regards, Tom

The only way we can figure that he go in was as a egg or tadpole. Unfortunately, he won't go along with the plan! Flushing doesn't work! I think he's now grown enough that he might even be "stuck" - at least to certain dimensions of the area he is in! We've even turned off the water for over a week and drained the toilet hoping that he would try to get himself out and seek water elsewhere - didn't work! I don't think he's big enough to get out of the toilet by himself so I'm afraid that we either find a way to "help" him out or do the dastardly plan - "take" him out - if you know what I mean!

Even when you drain the toilet there will still be a gallon or so left in the trap for Froggy to paddle in.
It's now come down to "you or him" ( sounds of music playing " High Noon" in the background.) Let's execute the intruder. Purchase a closet auger, (see image) and finish this squatter off. Good luck and give him a nice funeral. Tom

If he's under the rim of the toilet bowl, then removing the tank from the bowl is your only real option, assuming he isn't too big now to pass through the venturi.

I have to say, if it was me, kindhearted soul that I am, I'd yank the toilet, lug it out to the back yard and break the bowl with a hammer and set him free -- But then again, my Contractor account at the supply house gives me a much better discount for replacement than you're likely to find.
