I am bed ridden and my landlord called me last night and told me he wants me to move out by the time my lease is up in one month . Said he wants to fix the house up and sell it . I don't have the funds to move this quickly as I am on disability . What rights do I have if any to stay until I can gather enough funds for a deposit and movers ?

Practically none. You are under a lease, the landlord doesn't want to renew the lease and has given you notice of that fact. The notice does have to be in writing.

You may have some rights under the ADA so I would check out that. Also ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area.

Agree with Scott - you could attempt to "buy" some additional time but your lease is up and you will be out of there. You can, of course, refuse to move and be evicted - but that will hurt your credit and you could be thrown out.

Do you live alone? Isn't there someone who can help you?
