I am 27,married,and live in Texas.My little sister resides in California with my mother in a very unstable home.My mother has been a drug addict for many years,does not have a job,and is very promiscuous.My little sister attends school regularly but has already expressed she would feel more comfortable being with me.I would like to know if I have any legal rights taking her from my mother.My sister is 11 years old.

Wow I don't know the answer to that. I would call cps or whatever it is they call it in cali. Are there stable relatives that live closer than you if so when your sister is removed they would probably place her there. If not then I would think that cps would send her here to tx. Talk to aq cps case worker here and ask them what the proper steps to take to get your sister to you woul be
