Well I'm 17 and he's 18. He's very emotionally attached and we've been together 2 years. He's extremely clingy and at times I like the attention and think its cute but other times it bugs the hell out of me..

I'm in love with him and he knows that but he has to be told every text I send or every phone call we have, he gets angry and upset when I don't end a single text or phone call with 'I love you so much' or 'I'm in love with you'

I find it embarrassing and annoying because he should know this. He also hates me texting other boys who have been my friend for years before and regularly checks my texts, I would never cheat and he knows this. I also don't want to spend the 5 days a week with him which he kind of demands now.. But how do I tell him? I hope it's a phase and he will grow out of the 'young love' stage because I already have.. For the mean time some advice would be awesome, thank you!

Perhaps not "confront" but set up lines.
1. perhaps end text with LU ( for love you) let him know what it means.
2. don't let him check your cell phone log, none of his business, tell him the next time he looks at it, you will not speak to him for 3 days or a week ( you pick a number) explain it is a invasion of your person and it too controlling.

He has not grown out of it, since he is getting his way.

Instead of continue to let him bug the hell out of you. Tell him that it bothers you if he loves you as much as y'all say it he will understand that you don't like it. Make him understand that you knew other males before you knew him and that they are just friend. Let him know that you have a life but make him understand that he is the most important person in it. You have to stop letting him get his way remember you're the women in the relationship make him do what you want. If he respect you he will understand when you want to be alone.
