My heating pipe broke ( I have oil heat by water)and carpet got wet including padding.
Remove the carpet and took the padding out and trying to dry the sub floor.
How long it takes completely dry the sub floor. Water went from second floor to first floor to the basement
On the sides of the walls only.
Insulation removed, how long it will take to joist wood to get dry
And what should I use other than fan and humdifier. Thanks

If u are using a humidifier you are adding moisture to the air. What ever is damp or wet will not dry out.

U need a dehumidifier.

The drying time of any wood would be controlled by the temperature of area and use of dehumidifier. The higher the temp the quicker the drying time.

Ur other concern, if wet a long time, is the development of mold. This could have an effect on your health.

Good luck

Lots of heated air and a dehumidifier. Figure on a couple of weeks. Sorry for the problem.
