I've had it for 5 days and it's ruined every night's sleep. I am on various strong medicines for Rheumatoid, so really don't want to use prescription drugs if there is a good, simple remedy out there. Thanks.

I find that lozenges containing eucalyptus and menthol work really well for tickly coughs. I have had good luck with Fisherman's Friend brand lozenges.
The Ingredients in the Original Extra Strong lozenges are: Menthol, Eucalyptus Oil, Sugar, Licorice Powder, Crystal Gum (Dextrin), Tragacanth and Tincture of Capiscum.
The Original Extra Strong Sugar Free contain: Menthol, Eucalyptus Oil, Licorice Powder, Sorbitol, Magnesium Stearate and Tincture of Capiscum.
The Original Mint Sugar Free version contain: Menthol, Eucalyptus Oil, Licorice Powder, Sorbitol, Magnesium Stearate and Tincture of Capiscum.
If you can't find Fisherman's Friend brand lozenges, then see if you can find another brand that contains Eucalyptus and Menthol.
Good luck and I hope that you feel better soon.

I forgot to state that the Fisherman's Friend lozenges are not considered alternative medicine or a home remedy but they do not contain any artificial colours or flavours.

Try taking a spoonful of honey. It does work and it tastes good too.
