I took an I-pill last month and I got my periods on 16-17th of this month which was quite normal. It lasted for 4 days.

It was bit heavy but still manageable. However on the 7th day of my period I had unprotected sex and today I.e. 27th I felt some brown discharge was there. Please suggest what could be the reason. I usually have 28 days menstrual cycle.

Now I am getting slight flow and its not just spotting. Its not that heavy as periods too. I just need one pad a day and that is in fact not needed. Its been 3 days I am getting light flow. However this was supposed to be my normal periods date but due to ipill I got periods in between too. Please suggest.

Hi,

It may still be due to the I-pill. Emergency contraceptive pills can cause you to have some irregular bleeding at first. Although pregnancy would be unlikely, it is possible. You could try a pregnancy test. If negative, see what happens when your period would be due next month.

Be sure to decide on a form of birth control that you can use consistently every time that you have sex. Your partner should also use a condom each time.

Agree, you need to be on some regular form of birth control unless you are trying to get pregnant. So you need to be on birth control and your partner needs to also use a condom each time. If he is not willing, he does not really care about you.

I also agree it is most likely the pill still effecting your period. But again, it is possible that you can be pregnant.

Thanks for your reply. Normally we do use condom but this time we just did because it was 7th day of periods so thought it's a safe day. My only concern was that after 22nd i.e. day when we had sex. On 27-28th I started with spotting and light bleeding so I took that as implantation bleeding as it normally occurs in 6-12 days. I just thought that periods can't come so early again. But I think this is periods only. I checked with HPT and its negetive.
