My dog is having the same problem and the vet said to give a high calorie diet. I am still having trouble with my dog but that might help yours out.

Betty needs to know that all caps is considered yelling. Someone, not me, apparently is offended with the caps and has given betty a reddie. Please unlock your caps button.

Dogs, like people have different body types. If he is healthy and checked out by the vet, feed a high quality chow. Bigger dogs have more health issues, so it's really best to keep your dog on the leaner side. The breed you have usually "fill out" in their second year.
