I second what Judy asked... I guess you are talking about your MOTHERS ashes? What do you need done, RETURNED? From who? Or do you mean put into a new URN?

You can't "resume" a body or ashes. You can "resume" an activity you stopped for some reason.

Were the ashes buried? If so, why do you need them dug up again?

Sorry for not making myself clear. My mams ashes are in a plot at the cemetery. I hate the cemetery and it has no meaning when I visit her grave. I want her ashes to take home and either keep or burry them in the garden

You mean EXHUMED. You need a Court Order in my area.

You can't just dig up ashes and move them.

I am in england. I do know that ashes are allowed to be buried on private land.

You would first have to petition the crown to exhume the ash container from the cemetery

Exhumed? Ashes are not usually buried, so what are you asking?

Ashes can be buried and frequently are.

Very common in my area - in fact, I think it's ridiculous to have to purchase a whole plot to bury ashes... but those are the rules.
