Vista operating system changed my tabletop folders and icons and put them down in the taskbar. Can't drag them back where they were. Any suggestion would be helpful.

You can try right clicking the icons and folders in the taskbar and select "send to desktop create shortcut" and if the desktop icons and folders function correctly, then you can delete the ones in the taskbar as they are only pointers to the actual thing anyway (shortcuts). It might be a good idea to back up before you play around just in case though. Better safe than sorry.

Oh! I forgot to mention, if the taskbar is locked (right click lock taskbar) it may prevent you from dragging and dropping.
