How do I do this problem?
(6-2i)(5+i)

(a+b)(c+d) = ac+ad+bc+bd

using this it should be easy.

Also, I assume you're using i as in i\equiv\sqrt{-1} so don't forget that i*i=i^2=-1. That will help you simplify the solution some.

What I was taught was to use the FOIL method to do those kinds of problems. First, Outside, Inside Last.

Take 6*5, 6*i, -2i*5, and -2i*i put them in order as you multiplied and simplify.
