I turned off power to the house, replaced a thermostat for a single electric baseboard heater, and turned the power back on. It didn't work, I tried wiring it differently, and I think that I wired it incorrectly the first time. It never worked so I tried putting the old thermostat back on and it won't work. To try and see if there was any power coming into the thermostat I used a little tool for checking the voltage on an outlet. It doesn't have power. The circuit breaker looks fine and each of the breakers seems okay from connecting the volt meter (110 from each). I am obviously not an electrician. The rest of the house has power and never had any interuption. Any ideas on what I can do? Is it possible I still have to replace a breaker even though they all seemed live? Thanks for any help!
