I'm 14 and 160 pounds. I play basketball and run about 2 times a week on my own. I'm just not losing weight. I want to get my belly button pierced but I'm afraid that it would not look good with a little bit or a buldge of fat. What can I do?

When I first got my belly pierced, I was 22 and was about 131lbs. I had some pulge in my belly area. I got my belly pierced. It was fine. If a little bit of fat is there, it won't look bad. Also, piercing your belly gives you a boost of motivation to lose weight if you're still doing so. Not to scare you (it's normal), the body tends to reject/migrate things, so like almost 6 months later, I noticed my belly ring was closer to the surface of the skin, so I took it as my body was beginning to reject it. I took it out. Almost a year later (now), I am 23 going on 24. I JUST repierced my belly yesterday (in case you're wondering: it wasn't as bad as the first). Anyway, I am @ 118lbs now and I still have a little bit of pudge. It looks the same as it did before. So, pulge or no pulge, go for it. I'm sorry for rambling. If you go for it, expect the pain to last 2-3seconds. It will be sore. When bending over/down, you're going to have to extend one leg back so it doesn't put too much pressure on the fresh piercing, AND--carry water with you. At least 80% of girls get nauseated after getting pierced. When I repierced my belly, I didn't get nauseated like the first time I did it because I knew what to expect. But anyway, if you drive--make sure you have someone with you )who can drive) to drive back home if you still feel too dizzy. Again, sorry for rambling. I hope I helped.
