I have a 240Vac Stove 4 prong outlet. The wiring to the receptacle is fully installed. Stove not working properly. I pulled out my meter and I measure 120 from L1 to Ground and 120 from L2 to Ground, I measure 0V between L1 and L2. How can I correct this to 240 between L1 and2?

It sounds to me that the 2 hot wires are coming from the same leg of the beaker. Go to the main breaker panel and see if you get the same reading. Let me know

Yes I got exactly the same reading at the breaker.

Do you have a single or double breaker? Are both wires coming out of the same spot in the breaker? How many wires you have in the out let?

There is a double breaker. The red wire is going to one side and the black to the other side. No wires are coming out of the same spot.

Okay, you need to get a 240 volt breaker.

This is a double pole breaker that takes up two positions (one on top of the other) spaces in your panelboard.

What you have now is two separate breakers on the same phase, that's why there is no voltage when you measure across them.
