Ok I'm 23 years old and I have 1 year old. I was on the pill and got a period regularly. The month of October I had my period for only one day and it was very light. Now let me say that I wasn't taking my birth control like I should have and stopped taking them in November of last year. Is there still a possibility of me being pregnant I took two test one around the end of November and one in December and they both came back negative I don't know what else to do or who to talk to

Of course you could be pregnant. HPTs are often incorrect. I don't understand why you are scared. You were having unprotected sex (because you went off birth control) and didn't expect to get pregnant?

I'm only scared because I already have one and I'm struggling with just that one that's why I'm scared. And you I did expect to gert pregnant when I got off I just don't know what else to do

Have you not had a period since the one in October? If that is the case, best to see your doctor. It may be that your cycles are just off since you stopped taking the pill not too long ago. It can sometimes take a few months to get back on track for some women.

It would be likely that if you were pregnant from a couple of months ago you would be experiencing other possible symptoms.

You could either wait until when you would expect your next period and see what happens (it may get back on track), or see your doctor about having a pregnancy test done there. It would be unusual for a pregnancy test not to pick it up by now, unless of course you have recently become pregnant. They will do a urine test, just like what you would do at home, and possibly also a blood test. A pelvic exam would also let them know whether you are pregnant, so that may be a possibility as well.

If it turns out that you are not pregnant, then you can speak to your doctor about other choices of birth control if you don't want to take the pill.

If you are pregnant, you will manage. It can be hectic and stressful at times, but it can also be great fun. One advantage is that you will already be in baby mode so you would just continue as you have been.

First things first, find out one way or the other and go from there.

Of course not having your regular cycle could be from gong off the pill. But as you should be aware, even on the pill you can get pregnant, no pill is 100 percent. Even missing a couple pills, or taking some medication can increase the chance. Stopping the pill completely just puts you right back to get pregnant right away, there is no long term safety effect. So yes we when we read this had to assume you were trying to get pregnant, since you were no longer taking the pill.
