I´ve just uninstalled a NVIDIA card and am using an onboard video card. After starting the PC for the first time with the onboard card, it appeard to be working properly, but there were some conflicts in the set up. I decided to deactivate the video card in the System/Device Manager, and restart the PC, hoping to see the onboard video card being properly recognized automatically. However, after the Windows XP loading screen, nothing appeard in my screen. Later on, I tried to fix the problem by starting Windows in VGA mode, and in the last set up, but nothing worked and the screen remains black after the Windows loading screen. Does someone know the solution for this problem? I hope I don´t need to reinstall Windows.

You should not have disabled it. Startup in safe mode, and enable it again.
Then, remove the driver.
Then install the required software/drivers from the CD. Then reboot.

Most onboard Video is not very good to begin with, they are mainly for simple tasks, not for games or video or anything intensive, so unless your not going to need much from your graphics then use it, otherwise you may regret not keeping a separate Vid card.
