I´ve just uninstalled a NVIDIA card and am using an onboard video card by now. After starting the PC for the first time with the onboard card, despite appearing to be working properly, there were some conflicts in the set up. I decided to deactivate the video card in the System/Device Manager, and restart the PC, hoping to see the onboard video card being properly recognized automatically. However, after the Windows XP loading screen, nothing appeard in my screen (turned black). Later on, I tried to fix the problem by starting Windows in VGA mode, and in the last set up (Safety mode), but nothing worked and the screen remained black after the Windows loading screen. Does someone know the solution for this problem? I hope I don´t need to reinstall Windows.

Boot into Safe Mode and then run System Restore to restore your system to an earlier date before you started experincing problems.
