Since the new Nordyne Gas Furnace was installed 1.5 to 2 years ago and will sometimes run 2-3 minutes and then 1 hr lock up. If I reset the heat to off and wait about 3 sec. Then turn back on it does the same short heating cycle.
Sometimes it seems to only run 2-3 minutes and lock out for an hour all night, and then in the AM if I reset several times it will run for and hour or so and heat until the house is completely warm. It will then seem to run in a good cycle for a while (between a few hours to a number of days) and then it does it all over again.
I have replaced the Thermostat from the most expensive Honeywell Digital (tried 2 of these) to one of the cheapest at Lowe's with no brain.
The furnace is only a about 2 years old and has always had this issue on heat. AC works fine.
