Soot build-up, even after thorough cleaning of all exhaust. I have always used "Marth" brand premium pellets.

Have a Farenheight 50 pellet furnace. Have replaced gasgets, cleaned all exhaust and tubes, fresh air intake is clear. I suddenly get a lot of soot in the burn chamber. I've put on a larger exhaust chamber and fan per mfgr. Suggestion. If I set the stove to burn pellets, the fire pot gets over filled with pellets, so I turned it down, telling the stove I'm burning corn, then it usually won't overfill the pot with pellets. Does anyone know if this furnace has an adjustment for the auger? The mfgr says with the stove set on pellets, the auger should run for about 6 seconds out of 10 second cycle and this is what it does, yet will overfill the fire pot after about one hour of running. So.. "
1 what's causing all the soot?
2 why does it overfill fire pot when it's set for pellets? Pellets is all I ever burn and have always used "Marth" brand premium pellets.
