He has been in jail 6 years out of the 7 years she has been here. I have a case open and am waiting a court date. He currently sells drugs among other things but can't really prove it unless I get an investigator to follow him. He wants to see her but she doesn't know who he is, she knows my fiancˇ to be her father since he's been there since she was 1. I don't trust him he is sneaky and coniving. The people he hangs around is not a good influence and they are all drug dealers. As of now I am debating on getting a restraining order because he is constantly popping up where I reside in the morning invading my space and I don't care for it or him to be any where near me or my child. I really want his rights revoked because I believe he can not show her any good and would not be a good influence with his terrible records which include the majority of felonies and 1 being domestic violence assault. I don't want my child to start going around him and then he ends up back in jail which will mostly likely happen that's just his life.

You will need to show him a threat to the child. You can get a protective order to keep him away from you, but that does not stop rights he may have to visit ( visits of course are not in your home)

You may get his rights taken away, but you will have to prove any bad thing about him. You can't just say things, like he sells drugs.

But he may also get to keep his rights and perhaps get supervised visits ordered, DC has centers for fathers to visit their children when they can not be trusted with the child.
