What is this movie? Possibly made for television, early 70's. A race car driver is caught in a huge fireball in a race and starts having frightening hallucinations, including a weird couple with creaky voices and a group of revolving, 2 dimensional flat men. He is finally cured but then has an identical accident and the hallucinations return at the end.

It is definitely not 'Baffled' -- I have watched that one recently after someone suggested that title in response to the same question on a different board. I should have said it wasn't 'Baffled' in my original question.

I distinctly remember watching it twice on television on the early-to-mid 70's, and it really scared me (I was just a small boy then). I knew they used a lot of (probably cheap) effects to distort the voices and appearances of the hallucinatory beings the protagonist was seeing. For all I know, it might have been an eepisode of some horror anthology t.v. series rather than a stand-alone t.v. movie. Anyway, thanks for trying.
