I've been renting a house for the past year it is attached to another house owned by the same person the other house was deliberately set on fire and completely gutted the house including one of my bedrooms and my whole house is severely smoke damaged all my clothes and my baby's clothes are ruined and we are left homeless now my landlord has said she will give me back my deposit in the next month but that her insurance company won't cover any of my belongings what can I do I need some advice

You make a claim on your own renters policy. Renters are suppose to have their own policy, If you have no policy you are just going to have to pay for all of your own costs.
You can sue the person who started the fire if they are ever caught and if they have any money.
Your landlord is corrrect his insurance does not cover this.

Renters insurance is inexpensive, but if you don't have it the landlord isn't responsible for your belongings.
If arson was proven, you might be able to get help from a local victims fund.
