I have a brand new computer that had no problems until I installed AOL. Now I'm experiencing slowdowns, freezes, keyboard functions that don't work. I need opinions about AOL's software, how invasive is it and is it's reputation for causing computer problems accurate?

Uninstall the AOL, personally I have never liked it or thought it was that great it tends to steer you into the AOL world and not the Internet.

Unfortunately your right about one thing, AOL is a bear to get rid of once installed. I would suggest you not only uninstall it and any other software it added (real player) but immediately afterwords, reboot into safe mode and restore the PC to a point before you installed it to get rid of the crap it leaves behind during a normal uninstall. If you try to do it from within Windows instead of safe mode, it will try to protect itself. You do not need AOL software to access your AOL e-mail, you can do it from any browser. I have a few AOL and AIM e-mail addresses, but I do not have AOL or Real Player installed on my PC, I hate them.
