I am 5 months pregnant and my child's father and his mother are going to try and take cutody of the child once I have it. They say I can't take care of the child and the father fears for his life because people have threatened him. If those threats didn't come from me can they still come back and get me for them?

The father of the child ( not his family) can try and ask for custody. They will have to prove you to be a threat or a unfit mother. This is not easy to do.

He can of course get joint custody, 1/2 time with him, 1/2 with you, since it is of course his child also. Joint custody is happening much more now.
