I have had this issue before not as bad. The doctor just told me to make sure to dry my belly button well after showers. To be honest I am not happy with my family doctor and the level of care BUT there is a doctor shortage and I do need a family doctor for refills etc.

My belly button is BRIGHT RED. The same color as when I had cellilitis(sp)before in my arm. It stinks, quite badly. If I clean it with a Q-Tip, it will come out wet and yellow. It does sting and there will be small drops of blood on it too. I do have a deep belly button.

Medical conditions I do have: diabetes (diet controlled), BPD (in therapy, no meds), Asthma (Ventolin and Advir). I am overweight and considered Obese by the BMI.

Do I need this checked out? If yes, can it wait until Monday? Do I just keep drying it well after a shower?
